A Perfect Winter Day!
It has been an unusually snowy winter this year in the Midwest with our area receiving more than two feet of snow before the New Year (normally, the snow doesn’t start to fall until after the holiday). A Vest For Varro

Global Resources’ receptionist Penny has rallied her coworkers to the cause of police K-9s who are not supplied with bulletproof vests, as are their human partners, due to budget restrictions. Unfortunately, these vests are expensive, costing an estimated $2,000 to $2,500 each. Director Rich and Marie in Benefits have joined in with Penny to organize a company-wide fundraising effort to assist an adorable puppy, Varro, currently training to become a K-9 for the Wauconda Police Department.

Going Back to School!
Global Resources’ employees rallied with great generosity to fellow co-worker Denise’s ‘School Supply Drive’ to help provide needy children with everything that is required to fill up their backpacks for the first day of school.
Denise picks up the box of donated supplies and offers her thanks on behalf of the school children to her supervisor, Steve, and to everyone at the company for their support!
Items collected included 3-ring binders, calculators, compasses, composition notebooks, crayons, erasers, folders, glue sticks and bottles, graph paper, hand sanitizer, highlighters, Kleenex, loose-leaf paper, lunch boxes, markers, pencil boxes, pencils, pens, rulers and spiral …
